Website Optimization – SEO and Beyond

Folks that know me, know that I believe that most all of the pertinent information for optimizing you web presence (read: not all of the bleeding edge stuff) is available a no charge (read: free), and that the king of search – Google -  creates many of the most cool tools and the most informative seminars / webinars for optimizing your web on Google… best practices on Google, if you will.  Google – in its wisdom of leveling the information playing field – continues to produce how-to-use-Google tools to help small business increase ROI using the web.  There is the free Google Analytics and now Google Website Optimizer.

This summer Google introduced  Google Website Optimizer , a way-cool test tool to measure possible conversion rates through web analytic ‘experiments’, that is, a tool to test A/B Split Testing and/or Multivariate Testing of your pages before you publish these pages online.

And Google has a road-show to help everyone understand these free Google Analytics and Google Website Optimizer tools!

As you know my mantra is that small business (SMBs) can compete with the big-guys (read: highly capitalized companies) in their competitive web space for about 2-hours of focused online marketing time per-week.  You just need to know what tools are available to you to optimize your online and offline web presence then assemble and exploit the tools most relevant to your industry in order to capitalize the ROI… OK, off my soapbox…

And here is and overview and schedule for Google’s seminars for a location nearest you.
